Welcome to Wangaratta Wesleyan

No matter who you are, you are welcome here.

Where and when

You may have heard us referred to as the “Blue Church on the corner”, and that’s because our building is a lovely blue colour and you’ll find our building on the Corner of Parfitt Road & Great Alpine Road, Wangaratta. On the road out from Wangaratta to Bright, Beechworth and the snow fields of Hotham, it’s hard to miss.

You can also join us live from anywhere during our Sunday 10am service which is broadcast live each week.

Teaching

Each Sunday you will hear a thought-provoking and engaging message based on the Bible from either our Lead Pastor, Steve Van Der Poel, or from one of our other pastors.

Worship

Starting at 10am Sundays, our worship service lasts between an 60-90 minutes. We sing contemporary and traditional worship music, share in corporate prayer, and hear bible-based teaching. Afterwards, hang around and share a cuppa and a chat. We’d love to chat with you!

Safe Kids Environments

All of our volunteers are friendly, qualified, and hold a Working with Children Check card. During our 10am service, we provide a fun and engaging environments for kids of all ages.

During the school term, kids will start in our main service for the first part, then usually about 10:30am, the Worship leader will pray for the Kids and they will head out for Kids Church (Prep-Grade 6) where they will have LOADS of fun with songs, games and Jesus-focused teaching from our Kids Church leaders. (Our Kids Church volunteers all have working with children’s checks & are approved by Church Leadership). During the school holidays, we’ll often have a kids talk during the service and activity packs.

We also have creche (Kids up to prep age) available for the younger kids all year round.
